Are you thinking about organizing a skiing holiday in Spain? We can help you! Let’s get to know the best 5 ski resorts in this region:

Formigal

The ski resort of Formigal is the most prestigious of all the Aragonese Pyrenees. It is located in the valley of Tena, in Huesca, and has almost 100 kilometers of ski slopes, plus a toboggan area, a snow park, a snowshoe circuit and several off-piste routes for the most expert skiers.

Also, as in all the other ski resorts of the Aragonese Pyrenees, you can find a large number of restaurants and the famous après-Ski, which opens from 9 pm and has many attractions that stir the nightlife of the area.

Panticosa

The ski resort of Panticosa is practically beside Formigal. that’s why it has all the services of this one. In fact, both joined in 2014, becoming one of the largest ski resorts in Spain with almost 140 kilometers of tracks. Awesome!

Candanchú

Candanchú, located in Aísa, is the oldest ski resort in Spain (it was opened in 1928). It is practically beside the port of Somport, border with France, and very close to the Military School of Mountain and Special Operations, which is why it is easy to see these special forces doing internships in the area.

Undoubtedly, Candanchú is one of the best stations for beginner because of its several green and blue tracks, more than twenty. But there are also several tracks for advanced level and professional skiers: 19 red and 12 black, as well as five cross-country trails.

Astún

Six kilometers from Candanchú you can find Astún, which has 50 skiable kilometers of ski slopes. There you find the so called “Descenso de Pinos” (descent of Pines), one of the most famous in Spain. It was founded in 1976 and it has not stopped growing since. Skiers can buy fort-faits that allow skiing in Candanchú and Astún, thus reaching a hundred kilometers.

The best of Cerler are its 104 skiable kilometers. It is the highest ski resort in the Aragonese Pyrenees, as the Aneto peak, located near the station, has the highest ramps in the country. Cerler is, together with Formigal-Panticosa, one of the best ski resorts in Spain. It is ideal both for beginners who want to improve their level and for experts, who will enjoy in their 26 red and 15 black tracks.

Javalambre is located in the Central System, in the province of Teruel, which is why it is visited by many people from the Valencian Community.
