If you are a fan of football / soccer and also love to travel this is your holiday’s best idea. Get to know the two most important cities in Spain, Madrid and Barcelona, or one of the biggest cities in the north coast of Spain and enjoy watching a soccer game in their main stadiums. Enjoy games of Real Madrid C.F. , F.C. Barcelona and Real Sporting de Gijón and its soccer stadiums and museums.

Madrid, capital of Spain, offers a wide range of activities to be made. You can just walk through the “Plaza Mayor” square and the city center and enjoy a cold beer at any of its bars and terraces. You can also visit any of its more than 60 museums, popular green areas, theaters, shops or enjoy its nightlife. For further information about Madrid please click on this link.

Then, what about a visit to Real Madrid F.C. stadium and museum? The best soccer club in the 20th century, according to FIFA, has great infrastructures and its museum is full of history and trophies won by this soccer club. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos or Gareth Bale, among many others, play in this stadium, the Santiago Bernabéu.

Would you like to see a game inside the stadium? Good idea!! You will love the ambience when the team comes out from the locker room tunnel. 81.000 people screaming and cheering up at the same time is really impressive. We can get tickets for you for anywhere in the stadium, even for the VIP boxes.

Barcelona is the capital of Cataluña county. It is a mediterranean and cosmopolitan city where to enjoy with the pedestrian streets in the old quarter, the green spaces, a beautiful seafront, magnificent infrastructures, urban beaches, marine resorts and some great historical buildings.

Some of the buildings in town designed by prestigious architects Gaudí and Doménech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. For further information about Barcelona please click on this link.

F.C. Barcelona is the biggest soccer club in this town and a visit to its museum is also highly recommended. The history of the club, players and trophies are all inside this great museum. Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez, to mention some players, play in this stadium.

After you have discovered this beautiful town let´s go to the stadium, the Camp Nou (New Stadium), and enjoy a game. This is the biggest soccer stadium in Europe with a total capacity of 99.000 people. Imagine the ambience when the team comes out to play a game.

Gijón, not the capital of Asturias but the biggest town of the province. This coastal town will amaze you because of the ambience, its great beach and promenade, its old town full of “sidrerías” local restaurants where they pour the cider in the traditional way, placing the bottle over the head and letting the cider fall to the glass holded with the other hand below the hip.

Food and gastronomy is awesome in Asturias and life is much cheaper than in bigger towns as Madrid and Barcelona. Beside, close to Gijón, there are hundreds of coastal and inland villages you will love to discover. For further information about Gijón please click on this link.

Why should you travel to Gijón to see a soccer game and its stadium?

  • Sporting the Gijón supporters are one of the best in Spain, always cheering up the team, even when they are loosing.
  • The stadium is the oldest in Spain, built in 1908 but recently renewed. The “molinón tour”, recently opened, let you visit this historical stadium and museum through a guided and personal tour.
  • The ambience in the stadium is great, nothing to envy to bigger stadiums.
  • The field is one of the best in Europe: people from other teams have visited it to find out how to create such a good field.

Please note that tickets are limited and dates are not confirmed (for the “Liga”) until two weeks before (we will know the week-end when it is played but not the final day and time) so it is important you book in advance and have flexibility to fly back home on monday, just in case the game is played on sunday night.

Also note that tickets for Real Madrid – Barcelona or tickets for Barcelona – Real Madrid games are difficult to get and quite expensive, so the sooner you book the easier to find a ticket. Also applies to Champion’s league final round games (quarter final and semi final).
